PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

Ajabu does not simply produce healthy snacks. Our work involves different approaches and methods to make the most out of it. Ajabu focuses on 6 different SDGs and contributes through the following main aspects: 

Empowerment

Reduce food waste

We empower small-scale female farmers in Tanzania through buying their fresh produce and paying them a fair price to assure their financial independence. 

50% of our snacks ware made out of left-over vegetables from local markets. Ajabu uses the available resources and reduces food from being wasted.

Sustainable packaging

No plastic waste! Our snacks come in a glass jar, which can be used for fermentation. In this way, nutritious food can be produced at home an the packaging poses a long-term strategy towards food security. 

Education

Ajabu provides information about fermentation and the right diet in every package of snacks to make sure, our consumers are well educated about a healthy diet. 

Nutrition

We nourish our customers on the short and long run! The crackers provide fast nutritious energy and the glass jar helps to eat healthy even after the snacks are all eaten.

WHERE WE WORK.

Ajabu is based in Tanzania. Produced and sold locally, the snacks help the local economy no flourish and keep its citizens well nourished. Karibu Tanzania!
